Campos Racing to start off in style in Jerez

Tereschenko, Baptista and Menchaca will be joined by Kuwait´s Ahmad Al Ghanem, who will drive a fourth Campos Racing-entered car. Ambitious goals for the Spanish outfit this season

Campos Racing starts a new racing venture in the Euroformula Open next weekend, with a clear target in mind: the same success achieved in 2014. To that end, Campos Racing will field no less than four cars, an extra car compared to recent years. Russia´s Konstantin Tereschenko, Brazil´s Henrique Baptista and Mexico´s Diego Menchaca will be joined by a last minute addition to the series: Kuwaiti racer Ahmad Al Ghanem.

Al Ghanem, a very young Arab driver, has taken part in the Formula Gulf 1000, a series where he finished 2nd overall. With no preseason testing and without experience at the wheel of the F312, the F.3 car built by Dallara – which is totally unknown to him-, Campos Racing expects that Ahmad will have a fast learning period and be a frontrunner before long.

Baptista, Menchaca and Tereschenko performed pretty well in the Winter Series and their aim is to fight for the Euroformula Open championship, just like Álex Palou in 2014.

Three free practice sessions on Friday will be a perfect rehearsal for both races, which are due to start at 15.00 on Saturday and at 13.00 on Sunday. Each race will have its respective qualifying session earlier in the morning.
