A WEEKEND OF SUCCESS FOR THE PROTONS

Ollie Mellors and Ian Windress were competing on the Circuit of Ireland National rally in the SORT Oils backed Proton S2000. The pair battled hard over the bumpy Irish lanes taking the fight to many experienced local Irish crews. After an unfortunate spin on the Friday afternoon, a hard charge over the Saturday’s stages was needed to secure overall position. Setting multiple fastest times, the pair moved back up the leader board to finish in a very impressive 2nd overall. The MSA British Rally Championship points were the main goal for Ollie, and a good haul of points puts him equal 10th in the championship standings.
