This weekend saw a number of crews tackle multiple events using SORT oils. Mellors Elliot Motorsport were competing over the Epynt military ranges. Ollie Mellors was driving the SORT Oils backed Proton S2000, while David Tinn used the S2500 version.
Mellors and Windress were using the event to learn the ranges ahead of summers British Rally Championship round the Nicky Grist Stages. The pair finished 9th overall after a day getting a feel for the car and tyre options. Tinn and Dykes set good times and their speed was promising however a time penalty set them back to an overall finish in 12th position. Both cars were competing using SORT 5w 40 100% Synthetic engine oil. Up North saw Barry Jordan competing on the Malcom Wilson rally, a qualifying round of the BTRDA Championship, Barry using his immaculate Hilman Avenger with a Jondel Race Engines built BRM power unit, Jordan and Gratton-Smith finished 32nd overall and 7th in class. Barry is running SORT 10w 60 Race 100% synthetic with PAO engine oil.
Across the water Englishman Andrew Fenwick compete on Rallye de Hannut in his Proton S2000. Fenwick lay 3rd overall going into the last stage but an unfortunate accident left the crew unable to finish the stage and rally. Disappointing end to a successful weekend. Andrew is using SORT 10w 60 Race 100% synthetic with PAO engine oil.
