The Russian driver of Campos Racing achieved Grand Chelem in the Euroformula Open and, with his race win today, leaves Jerez lying first overall after first two races. Menchaca and Al Ghanem also stepped into the podium in Rookie Trophy.
The Euroformula Open has started in the same way it ended for Campos Racing: winning. Spectacular result for Konstantin Tereschenko on Sunday, setting pole position and then unbeatable for the rest of the field. After setting the fastest lap time, Tereschenko collected another extra point, and at the end he was able to take his first race win. Now Campos Racing driver commands Formula 3 standings with 35 points, two ahead of Alessio Rovera.
Diego Menchaca and Ahmad Al Ghanem also performed rather well in Jerez. On Saturday they finished 2nd and third in the Rookie Trophy. On Sunday, the driver from Mexico equaled his result yesterday, with another second place among debutants. Henrique Baptista was forced to retire twice.
The series will continue in Le Castellet later this month.
